The mission of the Charles E. Burchfield Nature & Art Center is to serve the public and cultivate a better understanding of nature and art as exemplified by the renowned American artist & longtime West Seneca resident Charles E. Burchfield through educational and recreational programming.
|
For more than 40 years, Charles E. Burchfield lived and painted in Gardenville, an area located in the northern end of the Town of West Seneca. This area is now home to the Burchfield Nature & Art Center and 29 acres of nature trails and woods, wild and cultivated gardens and sculpture, situated on the banks of scenic Buffalo Creek.
