Introduction to Digital Photography

Class Description:
Class 1: Introduction. Understanding your camera and the digital terms used, we will also take an in depth look at techniques such as composition (making your picture pleasing to the eye), depth of field and rule of thirds (help you frame and place your subject in the correct spots), and perspective (how to create the feeling of depth). We will also take a look at what accessories your camera may need and where to buy them.
Class 2: Take pictures before the dark around the Center. I will be around to help with any of the questions you may have. If the weather is poor, still life subjects will be brought in. This week you will learn the techniques for nighttime, architectural and fall landscapes.
Class 3: Take pictures before dark around the Center. This week you will learn the techniques for taking Abstract, and framing and patterns and close-ups (props will be brought in). Learn how to put your pictures together for photo contests. Information on entering your pictures into competitions and exhibitions.
Class 4: Take pictures around the center. Discuss any questions. Go over pictures taken. Talk a little about Photoshop Techniques.
